Thawing
ebm
- Leave the frozen ebm
in the lower compartment overnight
- Immerse the ebm container
in WARM water
- Do not heat
the ebm in the microwave or on stove top
- EBM
that has been thawed must be consumed within 24 hours

**It is important for mothers
to take time to explain in detail about the proper handling of expressed
breast milk to their babies' caregiver.
Other tips to remember are:
- Wash hands before handling ebm
- Containers and bottles must be clean or sterilise
- Warm up only the desired quantity
- Do not leave already warmed up and unfinished milk
left in the bottle and continue feeding the baby. Discard what is
not finished.
