Alysha has been complaining of pain at her feet/sole. When I checked it appeared that she might be having a nerve/muscle pull at her feet and 2nd and 3rd toe. I just massaged with some oil and she feels better after that. But when it does happen, she just can’t move and lies down immediately.

I wouldn’t be worried as much but this has happened over the period of a week and a half and twice/3x a day. Not everyday though, maybe for 4 alternate days. Once she complained of the same pain in her fingers.

Initially I thought it was the weather as it has been raining and has been quite cold the past few days. However, we don’t sleep with the air-condition on and she has complained of the same pain when the whether is hot.

I will be taking her to see the peadatrition today but just wondering if I need to do some tests of the nerves. I know I sound like a paranoid mom but with the kind of things you hear happening now a days, you just never know.

I will take the peadatrition’s advice on this but just wanted to share this and know if anyone has had similar experiences or have heard of anything like this before.

Oh...poor Alysha. Never heard or come across such a thing or condition. It'd be really nice if u could share with us what ur paed has got to say. Sincerely hoping that it's nothing serious and Alysha will be feeling much better.

Went to the peadatrition yesterday to check Alysha's feet. He did a check on bones, muscles, etc and said its nothing to worry about. I told him I feel a little silly coming in for something like this but he says sometimes a rare blood condition or nervous system disorder can cause things like that. So its best just to come in when you have doubts about anything at all.

But the way he saw it, her problem was not at all related to anything that serious. He suggested that the incidents may have happened after a short period of inactivity or over exertion. (Need to take a note of that if it happens again).

Probably just some muscle tension due to the above. Just then I remembered that Alysha just got a bicycle for her third birthday and loves to cycle. She has been cycling a lot lately, almost everyday. It could be just that. As her muscles get stronger the episodes may get lesser.

So nothing to worry about. Paid RM40 for my peace of mind which was worth it.

Lucas had an experience like that. He kept complaining that his soles were "pain, pain", and was trying to scratch them. It was in the evening. In the middle of the night he woke up screaming his head off in pain. I applied oil, cream, and even sprayed the anaethestic spray on the soles. Eventually the pain went away and he went back to sleep.

The next morning the pain came back and he couldn't even touched his feet to the ground. Brought him to the doctor, and the doctor couldn't find anything wrong. Gave some ointment to apply.

Night time brought him to see our GP again, and he mentioned something about some infection/whatever, can't remember the name, and gave Lucas some Piriton. It stopped the pain, and Lucas was okay in a couple of hours time.

Tonight when I see the doctor I will ask him the name of the condition again.

Forgot to mention, before the pain came, the boys were playing in the park, and Lucas was climbing the "spider web", made of thick ropes. Then he fell while running and had his knee scrapped. 15 minutes after that when we were in the car, he started complaining that his soles were hurting.
