Working>SAHM>Work again
Jul 13th, 2005 by Lilian
Last Sunday, 10th July 2005, Yvonne Lee wrote a very heart-warming article in The Sunday Star about her experiences and transition from being a working mom to a full-time mom and now back again, as a working mom.
I met Yvonne during a hi-tea last year. She was an air-stewardess (and still look as gorgeous) and writes part-time. I am sure many moms will be amused with what she said in the article which I had marked in bold:
All this also brings back a familiar ambivalence I faced when I first switched from working life to homemaking. A decade ago, at my peak, I gave up a flying job to play mom 24/7. I recalled my trepidation during the transition. It shocked me that serving an entourage of ministers was breezier than serving one bawling infant!
Optimistically, time has taught me that nature has a way of making things fall into place. I find comfort in knowing that there are plenty of other mothers who are also going through what I’m experiencing now as a back-to- work mum.

So, moms, when you are at wits end attending to the little ones, remember that line from Yvonne!
