Where did my weekend go?

The thing about being a parent is we lost almost all of ourselves including our weekends. Mine is all occupied with what the children are supposed to go and do. It is basically running from place to place or waking up early to accommodate them.
I suppose this is the price we pay for the joy and happiness they bring. Still, I want to lament how little time I have for myself. This weekend is especially busy because it is a school day for the two of them as they need to compensate for the Chinese New Year holidays. After school, they had cathecism class and with all the running around to fetch them from place to place, just realised there wasn’t even a weekend for me.
Poor kids, tomorrow is school day again. Lucky that Wednesday is a public holiday.
