This question depends on a lot of things. Firstly, is the mom literate, a proficient writer or own some skill in handicrafts or is she a professional who can carry out consulting jobs? Secondly, it depends on how old are her children and whether she has help?
Some of us were literally tied down to the babies during the first few months and maybe a couple of years so it is not a really good idea in trying to juggle too many things as motherhood is very overwhelming. So jobs for stay at home moms may not be a good idea.
However, there are women who really need the extra cash and have to find something that can earn her money. Writing job is probably the easiest if she has computer access. Nowadays, paid to blog program is available and if she has a nice blog, she can even earn money place ads.
Many of my friends are earning a decent income from doing handicraft works like handmade soaps, handmade candles, knitting, quilting and etc. Meanwhile a few have successfully set up home based business which require very little capital.
Therefore, there are plenty of jobs for stay at home moms but she must be able to discern whether those are scams or real job.
