Wendy Vo, child prodigy who speaks 11 languages

This news caught my eyes. Wendy Vo is 8 years old and she can speaks 11 languages!
I know many of us moms have that secret wish that our child turns out to be a genius. I know I do that. My hubby will laugh at me and my ‘Wow, my kid is such a genius!’ exclamation whenever they do somethi special. I suppose it is our proud maternal instinct.
So, I do wonder how parents like the parents of Wendy Vo feels to have a child that is exceptionally good in music and can master that many languages? Wendy Vo is such a cute little girl. Do watch Wendy Vo’s video and I know you are going to love this little girl. I am amazed with the way she speaks fluent Vietnamese, English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, French, Japanese, Hindi, Arabic, Russian, Cantonese and Portuguese.
That is truly amazing. I’m having a hard time teaching my daughters a second language.
I just came across some videos on Youtube about Wendy Vo. I am very proud of her & happy for her parents. She as such amazing abilities. My daughter is half Vietnamese & half Polish. I speak Vietnamese & my husband speaks to her. She understands three languages, speak some Vietnamese & Polish, but mostly English. We sometimes think that is hard for our little one and that we are confusing her. Some people would give us their unpleasant comments….confusing little one, blah, blah… My husband & I never for once under estimated her abilities to undertand 3 languages. Kids are way smarter than we think. She can dance very well though….my Venuzuelan thinks that she has some Spanish blood in her to dance like that….heheheeeeee
Anyway, I am sure you are all agree w/ me that our boys/girts are gifts in the first place. If they have special talents and that would be a bonus.

Guys, Musical is just some arrogant teenager. Calm down. AP (Advanced Placement) is a programme in high school. If he/she is three years ahead in maths, then he was about 14 when he posted that. Would you let a 14 year old upset you?
Anyway, wow. My mum showed me Wendy a couple of days ago and I was trying to figure out if she’s a savant.
Truly amazing!!! I am 19 years old and I know 3 language (Spanish, English and Cantonese) at the moment, but she is unbelievable she really inspire me to keep learning more and more languages. I still want to learn Mandarin, Korean, French and maybe Japanese as well.
If she is now 8 years old and already know 11 language, I truly believe that she will learn a lot more than this in the future. Good luck for you darling and hope I can be like you someday.
And for you Musical I really feel sorry for you. But you are such a stupid jealous guy because she is just a little girl and she is lovely and adorable. By the way I am Asian too, so I bet you must be blue or something strange as Thuy says.
