TV and kids are inseperable

Well, Christmas is over and we are now waiting for the New Year’s Eve countdown. Then, being Chinese, we have the extra Chinese Lunar New Year to look forward to. One of the thing that often gives us that extra happy mood and boost our excitement about an approaching holiday or festival is the kind of TV shows we get on air.
There is nothing like watching shows related to these festivals. For example, I couldn’t find the mood to celebrate the Christmas season until I sat through two hours of cook shows by celebrity chefs. I love how Direct TV provides us the type of shows we want without have to skim through all sorts of series we are not interested in.
Then, during Christmas, the home is made even more joyous with all the Christmas specials movies, series and concert that we get on Direct Satellite TV. These shows give my children such a warm and happy feelings. Eventhough some of them are re-runs but classic tales are always welcome on Christmas because they have become part of our heritage.
So, do you enjoy watching TV with your children? I do? It is part of our family past time when father, mother and all four of my children sat through a movie or show and talk at the same time. Nothing like good family bonding hours in front of the TV. Of course, if you have Directv Satellite, then you will have the flexibility to get quality shows of your choice and also the option to get them in HDTV. Take a look at the kind of special packages offered by the channels. I am sure you can find some that suits the family’s taste.
