Stretch marks

Stretch marks seem like an inevitable thing to avoid when one puts on too much weight suddenly like during puberty or the expanding girth of our tummy during pregnancy. I did get some during my first pregnancy and it is not a pleasant sight. However, it looks less inconspicuous after many years. Thank God!
When I had my subsequent babies, I was fanatic about rubbing my tummy with all sorts of stretch mark cream just so that I don’t have to endure the sight of veins crawling over my skin. Lucky that I didn’t get anymore.
So, if you ask me if one can avoid stretch marks during pregnancy, I think it is possible if the pregnant woman does not put on too much weight too soon and she diligently apply cream every day according to instructions.
I also read that stretch mark is genetic and some women get it, some women don’t. Some women call it their scars of wars, very much like army veteran proudly shows off they have war scars. Me? I say if a woman shows off her stretch marks, it is gross. There are some women who do wear low waisted jeans and baby t-shirt, revealing those marks. I say, cover up, woman!
