Peter and Jane Ladybird series

Dec 10th, 2008 by Lilian

When my three older children were in kindergartens, they started reading the Peter and Jane Ladybird series. It was part of the Montessori way of learning. The books were provided by the school and we paid the fees for using them.

However, I couldn’t afford buying the books on our own as each book is so costly now. It will cost me hundreds of dollars if I were to do acquire all the series from 1A to whatever level my child reads.

Luckily, the other day my sister-in-law gave my son a big stack of Ladybird books and now, my little boy has ownership of a big stack of Peter and Jane. We now spend our evenings reading Peter and Jane. It does get a bit boring because I have gone through them for so many years. This is Peter. This is Jane. This is Peter and Jane. Oh dear…don’t ever ask me to teach kindie! I will fall asleep on the kids’ classes, drooling.
