I went to a property roadshow the other day and was so envious of people who can just sign agreements to buy new properties. These are not some cheap properties but those that cost nearly million dollar.

Many of them are foreigners who have loads of cash, I suppose. Otherwise, how can they afford to buy properties when there is a recession looming?

Looking at those Outer Banks rentals, I think people with money still can afford to buy properties and keep them as investment. For me, I better keep the money as I don’t want to see a drop in property prices. This is too risky for me.

Can you believe that my car is still in the workshop and the mechanic said it is going to take a few more weeks because they are still waiting for the import of some circuit module.

So, we cannot go any where until the car is repaired. Otherwise, we have to wait for someone else to drive one of my sons so that we can go anywhere as a family. The other day, the trip to KL was made possible because my son’s college friends drove his car.

Anyway, lucky that we have auto insurance and the repair works are covered by the insurance. If not, we will be in trouble as we do not have a car and have to fork out money to repair it as well.

I have been visiting malls after malls and notice how each shopping mall decorate their Christmas trees differently.

I wonder if they have made a pact to decorate their trees differently? None of the Christmas decorations look the same. What I love most is this one decorated with Christmas ornaments like snowman, gingerbread man, candy cane and snowflakes.

I am so glad that all my kids are grown up now and only the youngest one still believes in Santa Claus. The older ones wouldn’t be expecting toys as presents for Christmas. Now, our excitement is to buy plenty of Christmas gifts to dot on the youngest one. My older sons too love to surprise him with present for Christmas. After all, who doesn’t like to play Santa Claus or receive present from Santa Claus, right?
