Packing for a family holiday is a headache

I have another five hours before we push off for a holiday. I know I should take a quick close eye before getting up to wake the children and get them to dress for the trip. But there are so many things to do. I have to go through all the things to pack for the kids, the gadgets and some foods for the car trip. Then, there are the first aid kits, the vomit bag or rather plastic bags in case they need to puke.
Not forgetting is the suntan lotion and soothing cream when they get too much sun. So many things to remember, it is like I am the engineer for some big troop of army and in charge of safety equipment.
But it is always good to be well prepared when travelling with children because I do not want them to whine over missing security blankets or favourite toys. So, I think I shall have to sleep during the car trip.
