One of my friend with a special child told me about this website for Muslim parents. She was extremely happy to finally find some support group locally. Parents with special needs children find it hard to cope in our country due to the lack of support.
MySpecialChildren.info is developed by a group of Malaysian Muslim parents with children of special needs eg. developmental delay, hyperactivity, autism, LD, ADD, ADHD or something similar.
The objective of this website is to share information about the special needs ie. parenting, emotional turbulence, treatment, education etc. with the hope that we could understand our children better, therefore do more to improve them.
Society can be cruel sometimes and dealing with the misconceptions is hard. Moreover, helpful information is also hard to come by. Therefore, I hope MySpecialChild will be available to more parents in future.
