My little helper

My little boy is having so much fun lately because I allow him to help me around the kitchen. Well, not exactly the kitchen as those things are done in my living room on the dining table. Kitchens are not for kids. But if it is simple tasks and those that are not dangerous, I will let him play around.
He enjoys sieving flour, rubbing butter in flour and even fetching eggs from the fridge. He learns so much from these simple tasks like counting as well. So, do you allow your child to make some messes while helping? I know some moms won’t do that but I don’t mind the mess because the lessons and fun they experienced are priceless.

Not only learning and fun but the memories they leave behind last a lifetime. I especially remember sieving flour, breaking eggs into the big bowl, stirring (we didn’t have machines to help us then) with my mum who loved to bake.
