How much do you trust the teachers?

The other day, I went to Thailand. At one of the tourist spot, three buses load of students around the age of 11 to 12 years old were exploring the caves.
They have teachers and also the cave guides to take care of these students. Yet, I think I will freak out if one of them is my son. You see, they only have about 2-3 adults to a group of 20 kids. It is a cave with dark places, slippery slopes and god knows what else is inside the dark cave.
So, how much do you trust the teachers and caregivers of your child? I think I have very little trust.
