Get Santa to send a letter to your child
Nov 4th, 2006 by Lilian
I am all excited for Christmas now that the decorations are up at some of the shopping malls. Christmas evokes a lot of happiness in my family. Even as a little girl, who wasn’t a Christian then, my late father had given me a few years of Santa’s surprises. He got me to write a letter to Santa when I was six years old. On Christmas day, I received a lot of presents stuffed in my socks. (hehehe, we don’t wear high stockings due to the tropicla heat)
I found one site here on the site bar, a sponsor from [tag]TextLinksAd[/tag] and wish to share with readers (please note that I am not paid to feature this site, more like a genuine interest).
It is a site call SantaClauseLettersOnline. You can find some bedtime stories here which are printable. Next, they have a format for you to make it easier. Then, you can either print the letter and give it to your child or you can get Santa to email to your older children. They do not provide snail mail letters yet though.
Anyway, I hope parents (who are non-Muslims) will take the opportunity to provide your child that chance to capture the magical moments of Christmas. It doesn’t matter which faith you are following because Santa is almost a universal icon. Give that child of yours these special memories because he/she will grow up remembering them. I know that little effort my father did to me had been sealed in my memory for these many years. He died two years after Santa’s duty (when I was 7 yrs old) but my elder brothers took over the task and gave me a few more years of childhood innocence. I can still tear up until now whenever I think what impact my father has done with this Santa’s duty.
Today, I am a Catholic Christian and I embraced Christmas with so much joy. I had been practising my church choir and carolling since July! Now, I can sing almost every Christmas carols, including Latin ones. So, joy to the world!
