Easing the nerves at children dentist
Mar 22nd, 2008 by Lilian
I went to the dentist the other day with my fifteen years old son. For some weird reason, he seems to have weak teeth compared to my other sons. This second son of mine seems to have more cavities than them eventhough he took care of his teeth most. Since they are small, my hubby is the one who normally go to the children dentist with them. I usually stay behind because I am such a nervous wreck at dentists so I feel it is best that I stay away from the children dentist.
Anyway, now that my son is fifteen, he is much braver than me. In fact, it was him who insisted that both of us go to the dentist to get our teeth checked and cavities filled. So, both of us were at the dentist. We prodded each other to go first. I actually prefer to get my teeth done first because I hate sitting there at the cold clinic in my children dentist and listen to those drills.
So, parents, if you want to ease the nerves of your children at the children dentist, do stay away from them if you get tensed and nervous. Your child will sense it and it will make them even more afraid of children dentist. Of course, if you have a spouse to deal with the task, then, you can afford to do so.
