Chinese New Year shopping

I have been bugging my children to go shopping for new clothes with me. None of them show any keen interest to buy anything new for the Chinese New Year. When they were young, they obediently follow and get the mandatory new clothes and new shoes. Now that they are grown up, they only buy when they want something new or something latest.
Oh well, if they really are not interested to buy anything, I might as well save the money and get for my little boys. At least I should be thankful my two old children did not insist for a totally new wardrobe with new golf shoes. Of course, not that they need golf shoes but rather running and walking shoes.
