Though they look awfully cute and certainly very attractive to kids, I normally refrain from buying them. Even if my kids whine about them, I usually refuse. This is especially safer if the toys are meant for younger children.

Rory McDermott, 4, got his Croc-clad foot caught in an escalator last month at a mall in northern Virginia. His mother managed to yank him free, but the nail on his big toe was almost completely ripped off.
