Acne treatment

Someone argued with me that acne is not caused by allergies but genetic. She insisted that if the parents have acne, the children too will have acne. I told her that acne is caused by allergies, whether food allergies or toiletries allergies like soap. It is futile to talk to a person who refused to read up, learn more about acne treatment and find ways to combat acne eruptions.
She believed it is genetic and sometimes, superstitions. I can strangle self talking to her so I just give up and let her think whatever she fancies. So, parents, if your teens have acne, find out the cause and do not be ignorants like my friend.
