5 days to Christmas – Have you put up your lights yet?

I know there are many folks like me who like to delay things till the last minute. Today is December 20th and we only have five more days till Christmas. I have been meaning to put up the Christmas wreath at the door and also string some Christmas Lights to make my apartment unit much more merrier. But getting the hubby to do it seems impossible because the poor man is so busy with work.

I really love those LED Christmas Lights and if they come in a softer pastel colours like pink, I think I will be over the moon with them. But of course, the hubby and sons won’t allow me to string my apartment with pink lights. They went, “Ews, ews, ews…” They want a multi-coloured ones but I think it makes the place too gaudy.
Last year, hubby helped the church to put up a giant Christmas tree that was three-storey tall using rope lights which were secured to the wall of the building. It looks so lovely. So, I asked the hubby if I can ask him to put up similar lights in the shape of a tree outside my apartment. He gave me a dirty look. He asked me if I am turning the house to a church or something. So, I asked if he can make a snowman for me. No such chance. Maybe I can ask the kids to bug him till he agree. But then, we only have five more days to Christmas. Never mind, there are other occasions.
